Dear Members and Advisers

It is with excitement and anticipation that I welcome all of you back to a new year in school and as FBLA members.  The beginning of the school is always hectic and sometimes feels overwhelming, but as the days go by things somehow manage to fall into place.  The State Adviser and everyone on the State Committee have been hard at work in order to make this a terrific year for our local chapters throughout the state.

Please know that we are here to help in any way that we can.  You can reach me and the State Adviser, Mrs. Lisa Deen, by phone or email in order to answer a question or to simply clarify an issue.  We are here to assist you in making sure that you and your students have the best chance to succeed during the coming membership year.

We all look forward to the fall conference, the district conferences, and our exciting state conference.  Our desire is to provide the best opportunities for our student members to gain leadership skills, compete, and grow as our future contributing citizens.

Anne Frank wrote in her diary, “We don’t have to wait a single moment before helping make the world a better place.”  All of us who are part of FBLA have a wonderful opportunity to make the world a better place.  The national theme for this membership is year is “A world of Opportunity.”  These two ideas really fit together because being part of FBLA affords opportunities to better ourselves, but it also gives us the responsibility to help others.

Again, best wishes for a rewarding and memorable year to all of you.
